Select a Picture Mode (Fine or Standard)

1. Set POWER switch to CAMERA
MAN.
2. Set the DSC/VIDEO switch to DSC.
3. Press the MENU/DISPLAY button to
display the menu. D. ZOOM is
highlighted.

4. Rotate the menu PUSH dial down to
highlight PICTURE and press it in to
display the PICTURE menu.

5. Rotate the PUSH dial to highlight
FINE or STANDARD.
• Select FINE for the best quality
pictures. You can shoot approxi-
mately 30 pictures in a format
based on JPEG.
• Select STANDARD to shoot
approximately 60 pictures in a
format based on JPEG. Select this

mode when you want to shoot alot
of still images.
6. Press the PUSH dial twice to select
FINE or STANDARD and remove the
menus.
7. The indicator for the mode you select
and the number of pictures remaining
will appear in the viewfinder or on the
LCD monitor.
• FINE and the number of pictures in
the fine mode appear when you
select FINE.
A star ( ) appears next to the
picture's number when you view
the pictures in memory using the
INDEX feature on the playback
menu.
• STD and the number of pictures in
the standard mode appear when you
select STANDARD.
• When the remaining number of
pictures is a flashing zero, you must
delete some pictures before you can
store any more in memory.
