Installing the DVD Map Disc

When your vehicle is delivered from the factory,
the dealer may have installed the map DVD. If the
DVD was not installed, do the following:
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. If a audio or video disc is loaded, eject it.
3. Insert the DVD map disc into the single player
slot, located at the top of the navigation
system, partway. The system will pull it in.
The six-disc CD changer will not read the DVD
map disc.
Once the map DVD is inserted correctly, you will
have the following two choices:
Select a Language
Agree
English is the default language, or you can choose
to select French or Spanish at this time. See
"Language" under Setup Menu on page 27
for more information.
You may also select Agree to agree that you have
read the screen. The map information will load
and display on the screen. The map will appear
with your current vehicle position on the map.
If your current vehicle position is incorrect on the
map, see "Vehicle Position" under Setup Menu
on page 27.

Ejecting the DVD Map Disc

When the DVD map disc is not loaded, you will
not be able to use the navigation portion of
the system.
(Eject): Press the eject button, located next
Z
to the upper disc slot, to eject the DVD map disc.

Map Adjustments

The system allows you to adjust the scale of view
on the map. The map will scroll automatically
based on the direction you are traveling.
To view a larger or smaller scale of the map,
press the reconfigurable soft key next to the zoom
in or zoom out prompts. See "Hard Keys" under
Using the Navigation System on page 22 for more
information.

Map Scales

The scale of a map can range from 1/64 of a mile
(0.025 km) to 80 miles (128 km).
