To fix the Cadillac DTS screen displaying "map disc/panel operation," follow these steps:

1. Press the MENU control button repeatedly until "Nav" is selected or press the Nav screen button.
2. Press the Map Database Information screen button.
3. Press the Change screen button to tilt the screen and expose the map DVD slot.
4. If a disc is in the slot, it will eject. Pull it out.
5. Check the disc for dirt, scratches, moisture, or if it’s inserted upside down. Clean or replace if needed.
6. If the map disc was not inserted, press the Insert Map Disc screen button to tilt the screen.
7. Load the map DVD partway into the slot.
