Put a drop of household lubricating oil on a paper tissue
and wipe a small amount onto the metal threads of the
auger.

BEFORE INSTALLING GATES
1. Install the orange sliding gate on the white fixed gat(
2. Put your right thumb on the overlapping part.
3. Keep the upper edges of the gates even.
so it overlaps by 1 inch.
NOTE
Before installing the gates, look at the catches on the
white gate and the pins in the motor housing. They go
together as shown below.
The catches have
2
notches. The pins go in 1st notch.
Don't try to force them into the 2nd notch. The 2nd not-
ches allow catches to "give" for easy engaging.
Install the white gate a couple of times without the
orange gate, to get used to it.
Be
sure the motor housing and pins are
free
of
any dried
paint which might interfere with installing the gate.

INSTALL GATES
1.
Hold gates as shown in box
5 at
left,
in your right
hand and slide part way down onto the auger.
2. Align orange gate step with motor housing step and
gate tube splines with valve housing serrations.
3.
Put your left thumb on left end of orange gate and
hold onto motor with your left fingers.
1. Push in on orange gate with left thumb and down
with right hand to engage tube splines in valve hous-
ing serrations. See that bottom edge of orange gate
is inside the lip of motor housing, not outside.
5.
Release left thumb and push
all
the way down.
3. Hold firmly and twist the white gate clockwise
so
the
catches on the gate snap onto the pins in the motor
housing (see NOTE above).
NOTE:
When not using and after cleaning thoroughly,
the full open position, and with the sliding gate
store PAlNTMASTER with the flow control in
closed.
