Streaked Horizontal Lines; Streaked Vertical Lines - Lexmark X502N User Manual

Make sure there is no paper jammed behind the photodeveloper cartridge:

Press the button on the right side of the printer to release the scanner unit.

Lift the scanner unit, and then open the top cover.

Remove the photodeveloper cartridge.

Remove any loose paper from the photodeveloper cartridge housing.

Install the photodeveloper cartridge.

Close the top cover, and then close the scanner unit.
Note: A paper jam message may not occur if there is a jam behind the photodeveloper cartridge. Along with the
smeared print, there may be paper scraping sounds coming from the photodeveloper cartridge housing.

Is a toner cartridge defective or empty?
Replace the toner cartridge causing the line.
Is the fuser defective or worn?
Replace the fuser.

Is the toner smeared?
Try feeding from another tray.
Is a toner cartridge defective?
Replace the toner cartridge causing the streaks.
