Chapter 1: Product Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Signamax model 065-7341G Gigabit Ethernet
Switch.
1.1 Product Overview
The Signamax model 065-7341G is powered by Gigabit Ethernet technology. It
provides a seamless network connection which can speed up your Local Area
Network to 1000 Mbps.
The Signamax 065-7341G switch is compatible with all 10/100/1000BaseT/TX
Ethernet devices, which protects your existing network investments while
providing you with a straightforward migration path to Gigabit Ethernet speed.
The 065-7341A switch is very easy to incorporate into your Local Area Network,
since it is plug-and-play and no configuration is needed. In addition, the
Auto-MDI/MDIX cable detection on all ports eliminates the need for specialized
crossover cables. Each port can be simply plugged into a server, a hub, a router,
a switch or a PC, using either a straight cable or a crossover cable. Diagnostic
LEDs, which display link status and activity, allow you to detect and correct
problems on the network.

Chapter 2: Identifying Connected Devices and their Speed
This Chapter describes the front panel and rear panel of the 065-7341G switch.
2.1 Panel
Figure 1: The Signamax 065-7341G Switch's Front Panel
The 065-7341G Switch is equipped with 24 10/100/1000 Mbps Auto-Sensing
RJ-45 ports for connection of network devices. The Switch's LEDs are located
on the front panel:
Power LED: This indicator will light up when the Switch is powered on.
Link/Act LEDs (1-24): The LEDs indicate Link/Active status. The corresponding
LED indicator will light solid green when connected to a network device. It
flashes green when data is being transmitted or received on the working
connection.
The LED (1-24) indicator panel contains the following indicators:
1000M LEDs (1-24): The connected devices' speeds can be indicated by the
corresponding LEDs on the front panel. (1000 Mbps when the "1000M" LED is
illuminated green.)
Note:
The LED's description above explains the device's working status after
initialization.
