Configuring the Management Agent of 065-7841 through the Serial RS-232 Port To perform the configuration through RS-232 console port, the switch’s serial port must be directly connected to a DCE device, for example, a PC, through RS-232 cable with DB-9 connector.

They are CLI, Web browser and SNMP manager. The user interface for the last one is NMS dependent and does not cover here.

The rest of IP addresses are for multicast and broadcast. The bit length of the network prefix is the same as that of the subnet mask and is denoted as IP address/X, for example, 192.168.1.0/24.

Without the proper setting, network manager will not be able to manage or view the device. The switch supports both manual IP address setting and automatic IP address setting via DHCP server.
