Introducing the
OPTURA Xi
You can record still images and MPEG-4
movies on a SD Memory Card or
MultiMediaCard. Images recorded in
Stitch Assist mode can be merged into
one panoramic scene with the supplied
software.
You can print still images by connecting
to a Canon printer with Direct Print
function or to a PictBridge-compliant
printer.
Simply slide Canon's VFL-1 Video Flash
Light, DM-50 Directional Stereo
Microphone or VL-3 Video Light into the
accessory shoe; the camcorder provides
power and connections.
The OPTURAXi incorporates a 2
megapixel CCD, allowing recording of
high-resolution still images on a memory
card. (Tape: 1.23 megapixels),
You can keep on shooting in dark places
with the Night and Super Night mode. In
the Super Night mode, the assist lamp
(white LED) lights up to illuminate the
subject.

software to perform videoconference
and file transfer over the Internet by
connecting the camcorder to a computer
using a USB or DV (IEEE1394) cable.
