Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.
5. Check:

Spiral spring
Bent/broken/damage → Replace.
6. Check:
•
Starter rope
Damage/frays/wear→ Replace.
7 . Check:
•
Sheave drum
•
Starter case
Cracks/damage/wear → Replace.
