the B or b button to select Yes and press the
CONTROL button.

Customers who will use this unit in the shaded
areas shown in the map below except for Japan
should select NTSC AREA.
Other customers should select PAL AREA.

The Area Selection screen disappears and the menu
item settings suitable for the selected area are
applied.
Note
When you have selected the wrong area, set the
following items using the menu.
• Color Temperature (on page 22)
• NTSC Setup (on page 22)
See "To set the using area" (page 17) on the setting
value.
To set the using language
You can select one of seven languages (English,
Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, German, French)
for display on the menu and other on-screen displays.
The default menu language is set to "English."

Turn on the unit.
Select the area where you intend to use this unit on
the Area Selection screen. (See page 17.)

Press the V or v button to select the language and
press the b button.
When the confirmation screen is displayed, press B
or b button to select Yes and press the CONTROL
button.
To change the menu language
Select the area and language which you use. See this
section when you change the using language.

The menu-selecting screen appears.
The menu presently selected is shown in blue.

Press the V/v button to select "System
Configuration."
The "System Configuration" menu appears.
The selected tab is displayed in blue.
