1 CHECK OPERATION OF STARTER MOTOR.
NOTE:
Place the inhibitor switch in the "P" or "N"
position (AT model).

Does starter motor operate
when ignition switch to
"ST"?

Check Yes
Repair harness
and connector.
NOTE:
In this case,
repair the follow-
ing:
¼ Open or ground
short circuit in
harness between
ECM and starter
motor connector.
¼ Poor contact in
ECM connector.
Engine (Diagnostics)
No
Check starter
motor circuit.
