10.7 Shutting Down the Implement

To shut down attached mower head, first bring the
tractor to a complete stop. Decrease engine RPM
to idle then disengage cutterhead. The mower head
will come to a complete stop within a suitable
amount of time. Do not engage or disengage the
cutterheads at a high RPM unless there is an
emergency situation.
Park the tractor on a level surface, place the
transmission in park or neutral and apply the
parking brake, lower the attached implement to the
ground, shut down the engine, remove the key, and
wait for all motion to come to a complete stop
before exiting the tractor. OPS-U- 0016
11. DISCONNECTING THE MOWER FROM THE TRACTOR
Before disconnecting the mower, the PTO must be
disengaged and blade rotation at a complete stop.
Move the mower to a level storage location and
lower it to the ground. If the mower is not resting
securely on the ground, block the mower up
securely before attempting to disconnect it from
the tractor.
Use extreme care to keep feet and hands from
under the mower and clear of any pinch points
caused by the tractor hitch arms and mower pins.
OPS-R-0030_A
Never stand or allow another person to stand between a running Tractor and the Mower
when disconnecting the Implement from the Tractor 3-point hitch.
