Adjustment of the display brightness
By repeatedly pressing the 
of the alpha-numerical display can be adjusted in 3 steps:
1. Normal setting:
good legibility, even in bright conditions and sunlight.
2. Subdued:
Subdued setting, for dark locations.
3. Display off:
the screen is switched off completely. The screen
lights up for a few seconds whenever a command is
sent to the unit, so that you can see the new setting.
Note:
If you set brightness level 3, the screen switches briefly
to normal brightness every time you give a command, so
that you can check the settings easily. The display will be
switched off again after approx. 4 seconds.
A brief button press selects the time display mode:
Single elapsed / Single remain / Total elapsed / Total
remain.
Button for entering programming functions for CDs
(creating, displaying and deleting MEMO-programs).
Playback
must
be
stopped
programming function.
A short button press on the 
programmed tracks on the front panel display.
A long button press starts and ends the programming
mode (see chapter 'Creating / erasing a MEMO
Program').
Cursor Block

These multi-function buttons are used for navigation
within On-Screen-Menus and for play back control (track
jump, cueing etc.).
Play Back Control
    
These buttons are used to jump to the next /
previous track, chapter or title.
Fast Forward / Reverse
    
The fast mode is ended by pressing the 
button.
Ends the PAUSE mode. This button is also
used in programming functions for storing a
track in a MEMO program.

A short press on this button switches the unit to Pause.

A short press on this button starts playback, or resumes
playback after a Pause.
Screen window
All the screen elements of the SACD 1260 R are
displayed in a clearly laid-out window on the integral
screen:
1 / 2 / 3
This display area shows the currently active
oversampling algorithm (1 . . . 3). If none of
the numbers are lit, the standard algorithm
(FIR Filter) is active.

is lit if a standard audio CD or the CD layer
of hybrid SACDs is played.
SACD
is lit when a SACD is played.
MCH
is lit when playing a multi-channel SACD.
This indicator is lit, if the analogue output of
the SACD 1260 R is switched to high
bandwidth (WIDE-mode).
Lights up when a Memo Program is being
P
played.
The symbol glows when the output signal is
inverted.
The symbol glows to indicate that repeat
mode is switched on.

Alpha-numerical display area for indication
of track, time or operation mode.
This area is also used for context depending
messages for example during 'SETUP
menus'.
Note:
In case the message '
display, the SACD 1260 R has become too hot. Please
make sure that the device is sufficiently supplied with
cooling air and that the air can freely flow around the
case of the device. Read and follow all instructions given
in chapter Setting up the SACD 1260 R. Please do not
place the SACD 1260 R directly on top of other hot
devices like amplifiers etc.
