Connecting ISDN devices

General
Up to 8 units can be connected to the ISDN interface.
An ISDN multiport is needed if more than one unit is
to be connected.
The Nera WorldCommunicator can provide a maxi-
mum of 2.5 W.
See also "Services" in the User Guide.
A call to a fixed net can be made without any prior
programming.
It is, however, advisable to program the Modem Unit
for appropriate reception of incoming calls, internal
calls and devices that can handle more than one
service.
The first ISDN device
The Nera WorldCommunicator will recognize a single
ISDN equipment without any prior programming.
Connect the equipment to the ISDN port, and verify
that you have a dial tone.
An ISDN telephone will use 4.8 kbps speech service
if not programmed as described below.
Setting the ISDN phone to 64 kbps speech
The ISDN phone can be set to use the high quality
64 kbps speech service by entering the MSN number
30 into the ISDN telephone.

on how to program the MSN number to 30.
