GETTING STARTED

Connecting additional ISDN devices

Up to 8 units can be connected to the ISDN interface.
(The WorldCommunicator can provide a maximum of
2.5 W.)
An ISDN multiport is needed if more than one unit is
to be connected.
See also "Services".
A call to a fixed net can be made without any prior
programming.
It is, however, advisable to program the Modem Unit
for appropriate reception of incoming calls, internal
calls and devices that can handle more than one
service. See "Routing of incoming
The programming must be done from a PC con-
nected to the Modem Unit, see
program".
To initate connection of an ISDN device, see
MSN configuration".
Example of entering MSN no. 30 into Siemens
type Profiset 30:
• Displayed on the phone:
• Leave handset on, and enter
0 1 1 3 0
on the phone keypad.
• Finally, pressing enters

ADDITIONAL DEVICES

Linking additional DECT handsets

Up to 12 DECT handsets may be registered with the
base station.
The handsets must be programmed with an MSN
number ranging within 01 - 12, see table in
of incoming calls".
The programming must be done from a PC connected
to the Modem Unit, see "Installing the PC

Example of registering Siemens type Gigaset 3000 Comfort:
•
Press to switch ON the DECT handset.
Press the menu key on the DECT handset.
Select Base settings
OK
Open the supplementary menu
Select Register
OK

On the DECT keypad, enter the WorldCommunicator
base station password: 1 2 3 4 (the first four
digits of the owner password. Use new code when
the owner password has been changed.)
•
Press the display key.
OK
Registered is now displayed in the vtLite Device
Manager > Add DECT window.
Press to complete the registration.
The handset is now ready for use.
