In order to get a connection to the Embedded DVR through the Public network, we need to set the Router to cross the NAT of Embedded DVR. UPnP can make the NAT cross automatically by the UPnP agreement of Embedded DVR, and you do not have to set the Router.
Log in to Router, enter into the configuration menu of Router, and set the options in the menu. Then get to port, set the IP distributed by the Embedded DVR, and set port mapping, add HTTP and TCP port into mapping list.
Embedded DVR Bidirectional Talk: user can talk to remote client software or Web via the DVR audio input and output ports. User can also listen to the voice from the Client Software and the WEB via the DVR audio output ports.

Retrieve HDD redundancy The user can retrieve the backup recording data from redundancy HDD when the RW HDD is damaged or data lost. Firstly, shut down DVR and remove damaged HDD, then restart DVR; Secondly, Get into 【Main menu】→【Storage】, set redundancy HDD as a reading and writing HDD, then it can be searched.

Possible reasons: Please make sure your cameras match your video format selected in the General menu. E.g. camera is NTSC standard but the DVR is PAL standard, the preview would be blurred. Blurred screen in playback mode or failure to playback records...
