7. Remove the eight hex-head screws from
the evaporator cover and remove the
cover.

8. To remove the bimetal:
a) Disconnect the two bimetal connec-
tors from the wiring harness (see the
top right photo).
b) Unclip the bimetal and remove it from
the evaporator tubing.
Defrost Heater

9. To remove the defrost heater:
a) Disconnect the two heater connectors
from the wiring harness.
b) Bend the tabs up on the three bottom
brackets, pull the heater out of the
slots, and remove the heater.
