4.4.5 Controller Module LEDs
The rear panel of the controller module is shown in Figure 4-5. The LEDs
on the controller's faceplate are numbered from 1 to 6. A Restore Default
LED is located at the lower right corner of the faceplate. The definitions are
shown below.
Status Indicating LEDs

Color
FLASHING indicates data is being written
to or read from the particular disk drive. The
Blue
drive is busy.
OFF indicates that the drive is idle.
Amber indicates that the drive tray is
populated and the drive's status is healthy.
Note that a faulty drive might temporarily

appear healthy until the first I/O is
Red
distributed to it or accessed by the periodic
firmware check.
RED indicates that the drive is faulty.
