Controller Module LEDs
The controller faceplate is shown in Figure 4-5. Seven (7) different types of
LEDs are present and described in the following sub-sections.

FLASHING
•
Flashing BLUE indicates Controller A is
accessing the disk drive. The drive is
busy.

Flashing AMBER indicates Controller B
Blue/
is accessing the disk drive. The drive is
Amber
busy.
/Light
Purple
•
Flashing LIGHT PURPLE indicates the
drive is in a spin-up state. The drive is
not ready.
OFF indicates that there is no activity on the
drive.
GREEN indicates that a drive is installed in
the drive tray.
Green/
Red
RED indicates that a drive has failed or is
missing.
