the controller module unless it becomes absolutely necessary.

1.3.7 Power Supply Units

Figure 1-10: PSU Module
PN: GAL-9273ECPSU
The subsystem is equipped with two (2) redundant, hot-swappable, 530W
capacity PSUs, which are located at the rear of the enclosure. (See Figure 1-
3) The PSU is enclosed in a 2U (dual-level) canister especially designed to
house both the PSU and a cooling module. A cooling module is mounted in
the rear section of the 2U bracket. Hot-swapping the PSU also removes the
cooling module.
As shown in Figure 1-10, each PSU comes with a single power socket for
power cord plug-in, and a power switch to turn the subsystem on and off.
Two (2) embedded cooling fans provide sufficient airflow to keep the PSU
cool. A single LED indicates the PSU status. If a power supply failure
occurs, such as over-voltage surge or fan failure, the LED lights red. A PSU
can be replaced while the subsystem is running. Replacement of a PSU
takes place if a specific PSU has been indicated as failed by the monitoring
software or other monitoring interfaces.
A retention screw beneath the PSU handle secures the PSU to the enclosure.
To remove the PSU, the retention screw must be removed first. When
installing a new PSU module, make sure to tighten the retention screw.
For the PSU specifications, please refer to Appendix A.
