please read through this entire section very carefully. We have provided you with recommendations that, if followed,
will result in a great flying aircraft. failure to follow our recommendations may result in a poor flying aircraft.
IMporTaNT Depending on your geographic location, the specific products recommended in this section may or may not be
available to you. In all instances, equivalent products of a different brand can be substituted. Please be sure that the products you
choose are equivalent in size, power output, rating, etc., to those recommended.

brand of engine within the recommended size range. For the best scale flight performance and sound, we recommend using a
four-stroke engine.
We suggest trying to keep the ready-to-fly weight of the aircraft as light as possible. Using an engine that's larger than recommended
will only add extra weight to the aircraft, negating any of the extra power from the larger engine and increasing the wing loading. In
most cases, you'll get better flight performance from a lightweight but powerful engine, than from simply a higher displacement engine.
We don't suggest using an engine that's outside of the recommended size range. If your flying field is located at high
altitude, we recommend using an engine at the high end of the size range.
The engine will be mounted inverted. If you're using a two-stroke engine, you will need to use an after-market inverted muffler unless you
want your engine's stock muffler to hang out the side of the cowl. If you're using a four-stroke engine, your engine's stock muffler can be
rotated to route the exhaust out near the bottom of the cowl for a clean looking installation without the need for an after-market muffler.

you will need to use a 5-channel or more radio control system. If you plan on installing the optional retractable landing gear, you will
need to use a 6-channel or more radio control system.
For crisp, positive control, we suggest using high-quality, ball bearing servos with a minimum of 70oz/in of torque for the elevator,
rudder, and flaps. For the ailerons and throttle, ball bearing standard servos can be used. **The aileron servos must be 1-1/2" (38mm)
tall or shorter to fit into the wing.
*The flaps require the use of two separate servos that move the same direction. If your radio control system is not capable of mixing
the two flap servos to move the same direction, the use of a Y-Harness with an electronic servo reverser will be necessary.
Although the P-51B Mustang "Old Crow" ARF comes with fixed landing gear, the wing panels are set up to accept optional Robart
Air-Control retracts.

There really isn't too much else that you'll need to finish your P-51B Mustang "Old Crow" ARF. You'll need a aluminium spinner, a fuel
valve, and a propeller and a glow plug to suit your engine. You'll also need typical modeling supplies, such as fuel tubing and foam rubber.

To get the most out of the aircraft, we suggest using a
higher-end digital programmable radio control system, such
as the Airtronics RDS8000 FHSS 2.4GHz radio control system

of these two radio control systems will provide the advanced
features that most fliers want for this type of aircraft. If you
