Possible Cause
The selected memory space is full.
Media is loaded incorrectly
Dust or adhesive accumulation on the
printhead.
Print density (darkness) is not set
properly.
Print speed is not set properly.
Printhead element is damaged.
Too small of label width size is setup.
The printhead is dirty.
The platen roller is dirty.
The printer is in Hex Dump mode. Dump
mode is displayed on the LCD panel.
Roll media ‐ Media holder hubs are not
completely engaged into the media core.
Roll media ‐ Media holder hubs do not match
the inner diameter of the media roll core in
use.
Roll media ‐ One or both of the media holder
locking levers is accidently locked causing the
roll to be off center.
Recovery Procedure
Delete unused files in the memory.
The max. number of DRAM is 256 files.
The max. user addressable memory space of
DRAM is 2048KB.
The max. number of FLASH files is 256 files.
The max. user addressable memory space of
FLASH is 14336KB.
Reload media correctly.
Clean the printhead.
Clean the platen roller.
Adjust the print density (darkness) and print
speed.
Run the printer self-test and check the print-
head test pattern for dots missing in the
pattern.
Change to a proper media roll.
Set the correct label width size.
Clean the printhead.
Clean the platen roller. Please refer to
Maintenance Chapter
Turn the printer off and on to exit dump mode.
Install media into the media holder hubs correctly.
If 0.5 inch ID media roll cores are used, remove
Phillips head screws that secure the 0.75/1.0 inch
hubs to the media holders.
Unlock both media holder locking levers
