3. Use the hook to clip the retaining strap onto
the mounting point.
4. Push the head restraint into its lowermost
position.
5. Pull the retaining strap taut.
Front passenger's seat*
When fitting an ISOFIX child restraint system on
the front passenger's seat, hook the upper ISO-
FIX retaining strap onto the mounting point of
the rear seat behind it.
Saloon:
Touring:
Guide the upper retaining strap between the
head restraint posts of the front passenger's
seat and the rear seat.
In such cases, it is a legal offence to trans-
port a person on the rear seat behind the
front passenger's seat.<

When driving with children
Child safety catches in rear doors
Push down the locking levers on the rear doors:
The respective door can now only be opened
from the outside.
Safety switch for window lifts
Press the safety switch for the window lifts, see
page 27, if children are travelling on the rear
seat.
