Operational readiness of the airbag
system
As of radio readiness, see page 45, the warning
light comes on briefly, indicating the operational
readiness of the entire airbag system and the
belt tensioners.
Airbag system faulty
> Warning light does not come on when radio
readiness or the ignition is switched on.
> Warning light remains lit.
In the event of a fault in the airbag system,
have it checked without delay, as there is
otherwise the risk that the system will not func-
tion as intended even if a sufficiently severe
accident occurs.<
