Handset on the base does not
charge.
Handset does not ring.
The incoming caller's number is
not displayed even though you
have Caller Display.
You keep hearing the error beep
(a descending tone).
The answering machine does
not record any messages or
announcements.
An answering machine message
does not have a time stamp.
During remote operation you are
unable to access messages

Is another handset using the line
for a long time?
Is the handset placed on the base
properly?
Are the batteries in correctly?
The handset ringer may be
switched off.
The caller's number has been
withheld.
You have pressed the wrong
button in a sequence.
Memory is full.
The date/time is not set.
You have not changed the base
station PIN.

Maximum charging power is only
possible when no calls are being made.
Make sure that the handset is placed
on the base or in the charger correctly.
You will hear a confirmation tone.
Check that you have put the batteries
in the right way, you will hear a
confirmation tone.
Hold down
to switch the ringer
back on.
Caller has to allow their number to
be sent.
Check the prompts in the display
or refer to instructions in the
user guide.
Delete old messages.
Playback and delete new messages.
Set the date/time, see page 13.
Change the base station PIN to
allow you to access messages
from another phone.
