memory enhances the visibility and user-friendliness. Moreover a built-in detachable control panel under the face
panel monitor works as an antitheft device.

DISCS THAT CAN BE PLAYED BACK USING THE UNIT
■ The following discs cannot be played back.
¡3 inch (8 cm) disc ¡DVD-RAM
¡CD-ROM (the data other than the MP3 or JPEG files)
¡VSD (Video single disc) ¡CD-G
¡CD-Extra (data only) ¡Mixed CD
¡WMA ¡Active Audio (data only)
¡SA-CD (Super Audio CD) ¡DVD+R (dual layer)
¡DVD-ROM (the data other than the MP3 or JPEG files)
¡CDV ¡CDF
¡CDs with copy protection function (copy control CDs)
¡Any DVD video disc whose region number that does not correspond with the unit.
■ CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD+R/DVD+RW playback may not be possible due to the
following:
¡The disc does not contain any stored data.
¡Playback may not be possible depending on the condition of the disc itself or the stored data on the disc.
¡Playback may not be possible depending on the level of compatibility between the disc and this unit.
¡Playback may not be possible depending on the recorder used for recording the data.
¡Playback is impossible for non-finalized discs.
* If using a writable disc such as those listed above, please read the instruction manual and cautionary items
for the device used to write on the disc.
Finalizing discs
If using a CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD+R/DVD+RW disc, it is necessary to finalize the disc using the
device used to the write on the disc. Otherwise, playback will be impossible using any player (such as this
unit) other than the device used to record the data.
* Please read the instruction manual and cautionary items for the device used to write on the disc when
finalizing discs.
* DVD-RW, DVD+RW: Video mode must be finalized.
■ Some playback operations of DVDs may be intentionally set by software producers. Since
this unit plays DVDs according to the disc contents the software producers designed, some
playback features may not be available. Refer to the instruction manual with the DVDs.
■ About specially shaped discs
Do not use specially formed discs such as heart-shaped or hexagonal discs with this unit. These may not only
damage the unit but, when ejecting the disc, it may fly out and cause injury due to its high speed rotation.
