About BIOS Setup
The BIOS Setup is a factory installed program in the BIOS chip on the system
board. This program stores the information on your system configuration as well
as the different types of devices installed. The BIOS Setup program also allows
you to customize your system configuration.
You must run the BIOS Setup program whenever you want to perform any of the
following:
•
Install or remove a peripheral device
•
Change the display type (for example, Monochrome to VGA)
•
Change the password or security features
•
Change the memory size or configuration
•
Change or set the date and time
•
Configure adapter card features
