Removing Speakers
CAUTION:
Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the
safety instructions in the
NOTICE:
To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist
grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as the
back panel) on the computer.
1 Follow the instructions in "Before You Begin" on page 9.
2 Remove any installed ExpressCards from the ExpressCard slot.
3 Remove any installed memory modules or Mini Cards (see "Memory" on
page 19 and "Communication Cards" on page 31).
4 Remove the hard drive (see "Hard Drive" on page 15).
5 Remove the palm rest (see "Palm Rest" on page 49).
6 Remove the audio connector board from the system board by removing the
screw and the audio connector cable. See "Removing the Audio Connector
Board" on page 70.
7 Remove the two speaker screws (one on each speaker) from the computer
base.
8 Disconnect the speaker connector from the system board.
9 Remove the two speakers by lifting them up.
