Circuit Operating Description
13-3-4 Video Block H/W Function Specifications
VIDEO BLOCK consists of PREAMP IC that amplifies the signal inputted from the head, PRML BLOCK that
processes the amplified signal to the appropriate digital video signal, and DV1 Chip BLOCK that processes
both the input signal from Camera Block and the signal read from a tape. It also consists of Video Interface
IC that outputs the video signal and Audio Interface IC that processes audio signals.
In REC Mode, DV1 Chip BLOCK transfers REC DATA to PREAMP after performing signal processing over
the ITU656 Data transferred from DSP6. In PB Mode, it processes the signal after receiving the PB Data and
the PB clock from the PRML BLOCK. In each mode, the DV1 Chip BLOCK transfers the VIDEO Y/C signal,
which is made from the inputted signal, to VIDEO Interface IC and LCD/CVF.
