8. USING THE RECEIVER
Parental Lock (factory default password: 0000)
• Menu Lock: When enabled, the receiver menu is locked.
• Channel Lock (Parental Controls): Enable/disable to change the lock on the Channel
List menu
• New Password: Used to set a new password. (Make sure you remember the new
password.)
• Confirm Password: Confirm password by re-entering it.
Factory Reset
Resets password to the factory settings. Any changes you have made are reset. The
receiver starts up in normal mode with all of the default factory settings.
Upgrade
Updating software has nothing to do with saving new TV channels. Its only purpose is to
update the operating software on the receiver.
Under normal circumstances, a software update is not required for regular operation
of the receiver.
We recommend that you also load the factory settings before and after the update. Be
aware this will cause you to lose your own Channel List.
S/W Upgrade by satellite (OTA)
Here you can upgrade the receiver software by OTA (Over the air). We recomment to
don't change any value. Otherwise it isn't possible to use this kind of update. You must
point your satellite system towards ASTRA1 19.2°East to carry out the software update.
The software update can take up to one hour.
To start the OTA upgrade please choose the start button. Follow the instruction in the next
window. Notice: It's not possible to upgrade, when no newer receiver software is available.
