1.14 Placing and testing the Charging Station

Use the RoboRuler to place the Charging Station on the perimeter. The shorter distance (12
inches / 30 cm) is used where the area outside the immediate perimeter of the Charging Station is
free of obstacles and is the same relative height as the perimeter edge (See Figure 1.25).

The longer distance (18 inches / 45 cm) is used where the area outside the immediate perimeter of
the Charging Station has a wall or is not the same relative height as the perimeter edge. See
figure 1.26.

Fasten the Charging Station in place using a hammer to drive the five stakes.
Begin by placing the stakes only part way into the ground, as a small adjustment may be required
when testing for proper Charging. See figure 1.27.
