The automatically controlled Cathodic Anti-
Corrosion System for marine installation protects
underwater metals from the effects of corrosion
and electrolysis on stern drives. The system
components are designed for marine service. DO
NOT PAINT THE MERCATHODE
The anode and reference electrode are attached
to the electrode assembly under each stern drive
unit. The solid state controller is mounted within a
plastic housing on the transom in the bilge.
Maintenance

The Mercathode
system must be tested to ensure
adequate output. The test should be performed
every 100 hours or annually. Contact your authorized

dealer to arrange for this test. Refer to
the engine operator's manual for more detailed
information.
