For future reference please record the following information which can be found on the rating plate and the date of purchase which can be found on your sales invoice. The rating plate of yo ur hob is located on e underneath of the appliance. Therefore it is a good idea to record this information before you install your ap pliance. -

Using the hob Before first use IMPORTANT: You should clean the hob surface and solid plates (see “Cleaning and maintenance” section). o You should switch on one cooking zone at a time, for 5 minutes at the maximum setting. This will help to eliminate any new smell that exists and evaporate any humidity that has formed on the heating elements during transit. -

Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning and maintenance operations must only be carried out when the hob is cool. The appl iance should be disconnected from your mains su pply before commencing any cleaning process. Maintaining the solid plates o If something is spilt onto the plate itself, then it can be removed using a soft brush, plastic or nylon scourer and warm water. o To keep the solid plates in good condition, you should put a little olive oil onto a kitchen towel and rub it onto the surface of the plate. -

Page 15: Installing The Appliance
Installing the appliance Cut a hole in the worktop that corresponds with the dra wing shown above. IMPORTANT: You must have a gap of at least 15 mm between the underneath of the appliance and any surface that is below it. Carefully turn the hob upside down and place it on a cushioned mat. - Page 16 o Remove the protective covering from the sealing strip o Apply the sealing strip provided around the edge of the appliance o Do not leave a gap in the sealing strip or overlap the thickness. IMPORTANT: Do not use a silicon sealant to seal the appliance gainst the aperture.

This appliance must be installed by a qualified person in acc ordance with the latest edition of the .E.E. Regulations and in compliance with Baumatic’s instructions. Before co nnecting the appliance, make sure that the supply voltage marked on the rating plate corresponds with your mains supply oltage. -
