5. Differential assembly to the carrier case half.
• Place the differential assembly into the carrier
case half which contains the pinion gear.
• Turn the left sleeve (32) (K1, 2 models) or
adjuster plug (61) (K3 models) in until backlash
is felt between the ring and pinion.
• K1, 2 models: Use J 36599 (figure 27).
• K3 models: Use J 36615 (figure 28).
• Remove the carrier case from J 36598.
6. Carrier case halves. Do not use sealer at this time.
• If the carrier halves do not make complete con
tact, back out the right sleeve (32). Use
J 36599 (figure 27).
7. Bolts (28).
Tighten
• Bolts (28) to 47 N-m (35 ft. lbs.).
