The TimeScan function enables this VCR to reproduce noiseless pictures
and sounds during special effect playback (
However, the sounds you hear are monaural, and are not the same as
original sounds recorded on the tape.
If you do not want to hear the sounds during special effect playback
with TimeScan, set "TIMESCAN AUDIO" to "OFF" so that the sounds
will not be heard during special effect with TimeScan.
For more about the TimeScan function, see page 37.
You have to select which terminal — either VIDEO (composite) or S-
VIDEO (Y/C separate signals) to use as the video input terminal on the
front panel.
Make sure to select the correct terminal; otherwise, you may fail in
recording (editing) on this VCR.
