POSSIBLE CAUSE
Water sprayed at machine
High humidity in air
Piston packing worn. Oil seal worn
Engine governor misadjusted
Incorrect spray nozzle
Obstruction in spray nozzle
Engine low or out of oil
Pump low or out of oil
Engine RPM
Pump over filled with oil
Not enough gas or engine oil
Vapor lock developed from heat of
day
Obstruction in fuel filter
Piston packing worn
O-Ring plunger retainer worn
Cracked piston
Oil seal worn
Irregular functioning of the valves
Spray gun closed with machine
running 5 minutes or longer
Excess water supply pressure

OPERATOR'S MANUAL
SOLUTION
Change oil. Direct spray away from machine.
Check and change oil twice as often.
Check and replace if necessary.
Readjust governor on engine. Take to local
engine representative for adjustment.
Install proper nozzle size. (See serial plate for
proper size.)
Remove obstruction.
Check oil level.
Check oil level.
Adjust engine RPM.
Maintain oil level at red dot on sight glass at rear
of pump or at top of notch on dipstick (where
applicable).
Fill tank with gas. Check oil level.
Keep gas tank full to avoid vapor locking.
Clean or replace fuel filter.
Check and replace if necessary.
Check and replace if necessary.
Check and replace if necessary.
Check and replace if necessary.
Check and replace if necessary.
Open spray gun or turn off machine.
Place a pressure regulator at end of 50' garden
hose.
