The hob timer (linked to a cooking zone mode)

o Press the ON/OFF button (9)
o The cooking zone indicators (2) will all read "-".
o Press the plus (4) button for the cooking zone that you want to
use.
o Adjust the cooking zone between power levels 1 and 9, using the
plus (4) and minus (3) buttons.
o IMMEDIATELY use the timer plus (7) and minus buttons (5) to
set the countdown time.
o The timer display (6) will show the countdown time that is being
set.
o After releasing the timer buttons, the timer display will continue
to flash for 5 seconds and then the countdown will begin
immediately.
o A neon will indicate which of the cooking zones have been linked
to the countdown time.
o At the end of the countdown time an audible signal will sound for
30 seconds and the timer display will show "--". The cooking
zone that was linked to the countdown time will switch off
automatically.
o WARNING: Any of the other cooking zones which are
switched on will still remain active after the countdown
period has elapsed. You will need to switch the other
cooking zones and hob off manually, in the normal
manner.

Hob guidelines

o The first few times the hob top is used, it may give off an acrid,
burning smell. This smell will disappear completely with repeated
use.
o The hob surface is fitted with cooking areas of different diametre
and power.
o The positions where the heat will radiate from are clearly marked
on the hob top. The saucepans must be positioned exactly on
these zones for efficient heating to occur. Pans should have the
same diametre as the cooking zone that they are being used on.
