2. Signal Input and Decoding Stage

DVI Input
DVI digital input signals are applied to IC8001<DVI/HDCP RECEIVER> and sent to IC6201<FPGA> through the latch
ICs. The sync. signals for digital are applied to IC8181<SYNC I/F> and sent to IC6201<FPGA> as the signal "S_HIN"
and "S_VIN".
Analog RGB Input
The RGB signal from the VGA terminal are applied to pins 1, 3, 5 of IC9013<RGB/COMPONENT-SW> through
IC3012<BUFFER>. The RGB signals from BNC or RCA terminal are applied to pin 8, 10, 12 of IC9013 through
IC2081<RCA/BNC-SW>. IC9013 selects output RGB signals from pins 16, 18, 20 by the signal "AV1/AV2" applied
on pin 22. The RGB signals are applied to IC8201<A/D> through IC9504<AMP.>. IC8021 converts signals analog
to digital and sends digitalized RGB signal to IC6201<FPGA> and IC301<SCAN CONVERTER>. The H/V sync
signals are applied to pins 5, 15 and 4. 11 of IC9027 and output from pins 3 and 13, and then sent to pins 2 and 5
of IC9033<SYNC SEP.>. IC9033 also receives the G-ON-SYNC signal. IC9033 separates H and V-sync signals and
outputs them from pins 11 and 13 , and finally sends sync signals to IC6201.
Video Input
The signals form BNC or RCA terminals are selected by the signal "RCA/BNC" applied on pin 22 of IC2081<RCA/
BNC-SW> and output from pins 16, 18 and 20. If the output signals are Y/PR/PB signals are sent to IC9013<RGB/
COMPONENT-SW>. If the output signals are Y/CR/CB, the signals are sent to pins 17, 18 and 19 of IC3101<VIDEO
DECODER>. If the output signal is composite video, the signal is sent to pin 4 of IC131<NTSC/PAL-SW>. The NTSC
signal is Y/C separated at IC101<NTSC Y/C SEP.> and the PAL signal is Y/C separated at IC2101<PAL Y/C SEP.>.
Finally the Y/C separated signals are applied to pins 5 and 7 of IC3101<VIDEO DECODER>. The Y/C signals from
S-VIDEO terminal are applied to pins 43 and 44 of IC3101.
IC3101 demodulates input Y/C signals and outputs the Y/CR/CB signal from pins 12, 13 and 14. The Y/CR/CB signals
are sent to pins 31, 32, and 33 of IC9036<RGB MATRIX>. IC3036 converts the signals to VIDEO RGB signals and
outputs them from pins 12, 13 and 14. The VIDEO RGB signals are applied to IC9201<A/D> and converted to digital
RGB signals, and then applied to IC6201<FPGA> and IC301<SCAN CONVERTER&SYSTEM CONTROL>. The H/V
sync. signals are output from pins 4 and 9 of IC3101 and applied to IC6201.
