LCD system adjustments

Note 1 : The backlight (fluorescent lamp) is driven by high voltage
AC power supply.
Therefore, be careful not to touch the back light holder
with hand or you will receive an electric shock.
Note 2 : When replacing the LCD unit, be careful not to damage
the LCD unit with static electricity.

[Adjustment connector]
Most measurement points of the LCD adjustment are concentrated
at the CN804 〈CN1804〉 of the PD-74/76 〈PD-75/77〉 board. Connect
the measuring equipment to CN301 via the measuring pin tool. The
following table shows the pin numbers and signal names of CN804
〈CN1804〉.

[Video input signal for adjustment]
Playback an alignment tape. Use the color bar signal of the alignment
tape playback as the input signal to this machine. Then check that
the white (100 %) signal amplitude at CN801 〈CN1801〉 pin 9 on
the SD-24 〈25〉, PD-76 〈77〉 board is 1.00Vp-p. If the signal column
specifies the "Color bar signal with the chroma and burst signals
turned OFF", remove the capacitor C814 〈C1813〉 on the SD-24
〈25〉, C814 〈C1804〉 on the PD-76 〈77〉 board. Return C814 〈C1814〉
and IC801 〈IC1801〉 pin 5 to the original connections upon
completion of adjustment.
[When SD-24 〈25〉 board is used](2.5inch LCD)
• Remove the capacitor C814 〈C1813〉 on the SD-24 〈25〉 board in
order to turn OFF the chroma and burst signals of the color bar
signal.
