-Convenient operation with cross-buttons and tact switchs
The PowerShot A300 operation is straightforward and comfortable due to the use of a
cross button. Also, by changing from the rubber switch buttons on the Power-
Shot A200/A100 to tact switch type buttons*, a subdued yet classy feel is
given to the camera.
* Button-shaped switches with a click feel.
- Computer connections with Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) support
Because the PowerShot A300 supports PTP, a standard
protocol, driver-less image communications with com-
puters are possible when combined with recent
operating systems (Windows XP or Mac OS X
(version 10.1/10.2)). Specifically, selecting PTP
from the Communication setting on the camera
menu, the functions listed right can be controlled
from the computer by simply connecting the cam-
era.
-Twelve languages international support UI
The menu screens displayed on the LCD monitor of the
PowerShot A300 are available in 12 languages, making these
models suitable for use in the native or practical languages of most
parts of the world.
The supported languages are listed right.
