Using the On-Screen Display to Control the Receiver

Basic Procedures

Shows the buttons you can use on the current menu. In this case,
press % / fi to move
(The menus are shown on the TV for about one minute.)
Selecting the Source to Play
1. Press MENU.
The MAIN MENU appears on the TV.
2. Press % % % % % / fi fi fi fi fi to move
The SOURCE menu appears.
3. Press % % % % % / fi fi fi fi fi to move
4. When you finish, press MENU EXIT.
The menu disappears from the TV.
Adjusting the Front Speaker Output Balance
1. Press MENU.
The MAIN MENU appears on the TV.
2. Press % % % % % / fi fi fi fi fi to move
The SETTING menu appears.
3. Press % % % % % / fi fi fi fi fi to move
4. Press @ @ @ @ @ / # # # # # repeatedly to adjust the balance.
5. When you finish, press MENU EXIT.
The menu disappears from the TV.

You can use the menu function on the TV screen to control the receiver.
To use this function, you need to connect the TV to the MONITOR OUT jack on the rear panel (see page 9),
and set the TV's input mode to the appropriate position to which the receiver is connected.
When the TV's input mode is for TV, you cannot see the on-screen display.
IMPORTANT:
When you use the menu functions, make sure that you have connected a TV and operate the
menu function while watching the on-screen displays on the TV.
From the remote control:
1. Press MENU.
The MAIN MENU appears on the TV screen.
• If you press % / fi / @ / #, a sub-menu you can adjust at that time appears on the TV
screen instead of the MAIN MENU.
2. Press % % % % % / fi fi fi fi fi to move
The sub-menu you want appears.
3. If necessary, press % % % % % / fi fi fi fi fi / @ @ @ @ @ / # # # # # to set or adjust the item you want on the selected sub-
menu.
When a item is selected, the item will be highlighted.
Note:
Moving
press @ / # to highlight it.
4. When you finish, press MENU EXIT.
The menu disappears from the TV.
To go back to the MAIN MENU any time during the process
Press MENU again.
