o
When you are using a SO Memory Card, make sure that the protect switch is
set to allow recording.
o
Do not turn off the camcorder, change the position of the TAPE/CARD switch,
disconnect the power source, open the memory card cover or remove the
memory card while the card access indicator is flashing. Doing so could result
in data damage.
o
Do not load/unload a cassette during recording.
o
About the focusing frame:
The camcorder automatically selects the appropriate focusing frames out of the
9 focusing frames, allowing to focus on subjects out of the center (OJ 95).
o
If the subject is not suitable for autofocus,
0
turns yellow. Keep the PHOTO
button pressed halfway and adjust the focus manually with the focus ring.
o
Depending on the number of images on the memory card (Windows: more than
1800 images; Macintosh: more than 1000 images), you may not be able to
download images to a computer. In such case, use a PC card reader.
o
Connection to a PictBridge compliant printer will not work when the memory
card contains more than 1800 images. For best performance, we recommend
to keep the number of images on the memory card less than 100.
o
When recording a still image (step 2), the image may appear out of focus for a
moment while the camcorder is focusing.
o
When the subject ;s too bright, "OVEREXP." starts flashing. In such case, use
the optional FS-34U NO filter.
o
Sound for movies recorded on the memory card will be monaural.
o
When you use a SO Memory Card, we recommend using a Canon SO Memory
Card, or a SO Memory Card with a transfer rate of more than 2 MB/sec., right
after you have formatted it with this camcorder. With memory cards not
formatted with this camcorder, or when recording/erasing has been repeatedly
performed, the writing speed may be lower and recording may stop.
o
Recording time of movies on the memory card differs depending on the image
size and subject.
o
Users of Windows XP: When you plan to connect the camcorder to a computer
using a USB cable, keep the length of one movie shorter than approx. 12 min.
in 320 x 240 and 35 min. in 160 x 120.
o
The camcorder shuts off when you do not operate it for 5 minutes to save power
(OJ 75).
"it
AUTO POWER OFF" appears 30 seconds before shutoff. To
continue recording, turn the POWER switch to OFF and then back to CAMERA.
