What to do if . . .
. . . the appliance does not get cold.
^ Check whether the appliance is
switched on. The temperature
displays must be illuminated.
^ Check that the plug is correctly
inserted into the socket and switched
on.
^ Check that the fuse is not defective
and that the mains fuse has not
tripped. There could be a fault with
the appliance, the household
electrical wiring or another electrical
appliance.
Contact a qualified electrician or
Miele.
^ Demo mode is switched on.
Call Miele.
. . . the compressor is switching on
too frequently and for too long.
^ Check whether the ventilation cut-out
in the plinth strip is blocked or
covered in dust.
^ The appliance door has been
opened frequently.

^ Check whether the appliance door
closes properly.
. . . the alarm is sounding and the
temperature display is flashing.
^ Has the appliance door been open
for longer than approx. 60 seconds?
The temperature in the appliance is too
high or too low than the temperature
which has been set. This could be
because
^ the appliance door has been opened
frequently.
^ the ventilation cut-out in the plinth
strip has been covered.
^ the power was cut for a long time.
When the problems have been
resolved, the temperature display will
light up constantly and the alarm will
stop.
. . . a dash is lit up/flashing in the
temperature display.
Only temperatures within the range of
the appliance temperature will be
displayed.
. . . "F0" or "F1" appears in the
temperature display.
There is a fault. Call Miele.
. . . you cannot switch the appliance
off.
The safety lock has been activated.
