Auxiliary fuel-burning heater/independent ventilation control
For your own safety please comply with
the instructions in the relevant Operat-
ing Instructions booklet on the auxiliary
fuel-burning heater or independent
ventilation control. The instructions be-
low refer only to operation by way of
the on-board computer.
1. Call up "MENU"
2. Select "Aux. heating/vent.".
To exit this function, press the following
button again:
The auxiliary fuel-burning heater/inde-
pendent ventilation control functions
described below are called up from this
menu.

Setting timeswitch

You can climb into your BMW in the
morning and evening to find it at just
the right temperature, thanks to the two
switch-on times (programmable from
ignition key position 1).
1. Select "Aux. heating/vent."
2. Select the desired timeswitch
(Timer 1 or Timer 2)
3. Select the hours or minutes settings
for the timeswitch
4. Turn the right-hand rotary control to
set the desired time and press it to
retain the setting.
The appropriate option is high-
lighted. The auxiliary fuel-burning
heater/independent ventilation con-
trol is switched on at the time speci-
fied.
Program the switch-on times such
that there is sufficient time for the
car's interior to warm up before you in-
tend to start your journey.
If you wish to use the auxiliary fuel-
burning heater every day, remember
that the switch-on times will need to be
reactivated on a daily basis, see
page
