Selecting a destination via Information

You may for instance be looking for a
particular destination in a city, such as
a hotel, restaurant, petrol station, the
nearest BMW Service, a tourist attrac-
tion or a hospital, but do not know the
exact address.
1. Enter the desired city, see page
2. Select "Information"
3. Select "Info on destination".
Various types of destination are
listed
4. Select the desired type of destina-
tion, e.g. "Hotels & restaurants"
5. Select "Hotel"
6. Enter the first letter of the hotel
name, e.g. "M".
The selected letter is highlighted
7. Select the remaining letters until the
25
hotel name is recognised beyond
doubt and the corresponding entry in
the list is marked
8. Select the entry highlighted in the
list.
Further information is called up in
text form or as symbols.
The extent of the information
and the range of symbols de-
pend on the map CD currently in
use.<
9. Press right-hand rotary control.
A selection menu is displayed
10. Select "Activate".
The address of the hotel is trans-
ferred for destination guidance.
If you do not know the exact name
of the hotel, it can also be se-
lected from the list once the first letter
has been
entered.<
If a BMW car telephone is in-
stalled in your car, you can mark
the telephone number of a destination
and dial the number simply by pressing
the
knob.<
