Altering specified route type
You can alter the specified route type
while being guided to your destination.
1. Press right-hand rotary control.
A selection menu is displayed
2. Choose "Route selection"
3. Select your preferred type of route
4. Select .
The new type of specified route is
used for the remainder of the jour-
ney.
The system may require up to one
minute to calculate the new route
and call it up on the screen.<
Altering a section of route
You can also instruct the GPS naviga-
tion system to deviate from planned
sections of the route during destination
guidance. You can state the distance
you wish to travel before returning to
the original route.
1. Press right-hand rotary control.
A selection menu is displayed, see
also page 23
2. Select "New route"
3. Turn the right-hand rotary control to
select the desired distance.
Values of between 1 and 10 km are
available
4. Press right-hand rotary control to
save the desired distance.
The system will return you automati-
cally to the new route at the next op-
portunity.
To help you avoid traffic jams and
other road congestion, your navi-
gation system displays traffic informa-
tion received by your car's radio or by
