Noise suppression

Dolby B and C are a noise suppression
system for cassette replay.
High frequencies are raised during re-
cording and suppressed during replay.
As audio hiss consists mainly of high
frequencies and occurs above all dur-
ing replay, it is reduced in this way.
Dolby and the
symbol are registered
trade marks of Dolby Laboratories Li-
censing Corporation.
Switching Dolby on/off
Only switch on when playing cas-
settes that were recorded with
Dolby B or Dolby C, as reproduction will
otherwise sound
dull.<
Press until the best audio reproduction
is obtained. The set changes between
Dolby B, Dolby C and Dolby off.
The selected noise suppression setting
is indicated by "
B" or "

Music track search

Fast forward/rewind
Select the direction
Press twice briefly or once for longer.
The tape automatically switches to the
other side when the end is reached.
To interrupt fast forward/rewind:
Press briefly once.
C".
Music search
The music search can only func-
tion if there are breaks at least
four seconds long between the tracks
on the
tape.<
Activating music search
The tape will be wound forward until
the next piece of music is detected. At
the end of the tape, it switches auto-
matically to the other side.
To interrupt the fast forward movement:
Press briefly once.
