Installing Hard Drives (QSSC-310FA/QSSC-310LA)

The QSSC-310 Fixed SKU accommodates two fixed HDDs (not supplied). Depending on the location of the
HDD, refer to the following instructions to install the hard drives.
Note:
Fixed HDDs must be purchased separately and installed as instructed.

Right-side HDD

1. Remove the chassis cover. See Removing the Chassis Cover on page 12.
2. Remove the securing screw from the HDD carrier.
3. Lift the carrier straight up to remove it from the chassis.
4. Install the HDD into the carrier using the securing screws provided in the accessories box.
5. Place the carrier into the chassis and insert the securing screw to hold the carrier in place.
Note:
Ensure that the HDD connectors face toward the center of the server's front section.
6. Connect the power and interface cables to the HDD.
7. Replace the chassis cover. See Replacing the Chassis Cover on page 27.
