ACTlVATlNG A BURGLARY WALK TEST
Using the
III 5 TEST Key
This
feature
can
be
activated only while the
burglary protection portion
of
your
system
iS
disarmed.
Your fire alarm orotection,
however. will remain active
cjurina this test.

ZONE. YOU WILL CAUSE

Nofe: UL requires that this test be conducted
weekly.
This test is used to check that sensors on all burglary and non-fire emergency
zones are operating properly.

With the burglary protection disarmed, close all protected doors, windows, etc.

To activate the Burglary Walk Test:

Enter any User Code, followed by the TEST key.

The external alarm sounders will sound for 1 second and then turn off. The
keypad LCD will display "BURGLARY WALK TEST IN PROGRESS" (Alpha)
or "TEST Cb" (Fixed-Word).
The keypad buzzer will beep once every 10
seconds while this test is active.

Open and close each protected door and window and walk in front of interior
motion detectors (if used). The keypad will beep 3 times each time a zone is
faulted and will display the number of the faulted zone while the fault remains.
After all protection points have been checked and restored, there should be no
zone numbers displayed.
