3D Disto, Instrument Setup
The following description assumes setup on a tripod but it is also possible to place
the 3D Disto on flat surfaces such as a floor or boards.

5. 3D Disto starts self-levelling: the tilt is checked by a tilt sensor and the instru-
ment levels itself if the tilt is < 3°.
Refer to "Description of buttons and LEDs",for information about tilt status.
1. Set up the tripod in a suitable place where the
2 points to be measured can be targeted well and
extend the tripod legs to a comfortable working
height.
2. Place 3D Disto onto the tripod head. Tighten the
central tripod fixing screw.
3. Centre the circular bubble on the 3D Disto by
adjusting the tripod legs.
4. Press

to turn on the instrument.
